ARD inspiration this week. Give us the patina, the one-of-a-kind chairs, the sculptural table legs, an oversized paper lantern, and a coffee table that's hosted its fair share of dinner parties. The best interiors have personality.

Character will always be in style.

Good design begins before/during construction! Bringing a designer in early allows every finish and architectural selection to feel cohesive, intentional, and tailored to the way the home will actually live and function.

• Brass switches & outlets — Brass hardware develops a natural patina over time and adds warmth & depth to the home.
• Wall texture & finish selections — The finish of a wall dramatically impacts how light moves throughout a space. Limewash, plaster, or smooth finishes each create a different atmosphere and can add softness & dimension. Level 5 is needed for wallpaper!
• Discreet outlet covers — Integrating outlets into stone, millwork, or wall color creates cleaner sightlines and a more refined overall aesthetic.
• Door casing & baseboard sizing — Scale matters. Larger, more substantial trim profiles help rooms feel architecturally grounded and custom, while undersized trim can make even a beautiful home feel builder-grade.
• Decorative or integrated vents — Vents are often overlooked, but custom vent covers or flush integrations allow airflow elements to blend seamlessly into the architecture rather than interrupt it visually.
• Seamless shower drains — Linear drains create a cleaner floor transition, improve accessibility, and allow tile layouts to feel uninterrupted and visually expansive within the bathroom.

And trust us… adjusting switch & outlet placements are a lot more fun before drywall goes up. 😉..

Amy Wright’s work is the kind that stops you mid-scroll. Bold texture, moody layers, earthy tones — every piece feels a little wild in the best way. Like nature, movement, and emotion all colliding on canvas.

Cabinet hardware may look like the finishing touch, but the layout is everything. Reviewing hardware placements before installation helps catch spacing inconsistencies, awkward placements, and scale issues before a single hole is drilled.

We make sure our clients realistic everyday movements are in mind when placing hardware. The smallest details are usually the ones you notice most!
