Redeemer School
North Austin Christian school serving infants–8th grade. Strong academics, faith & caring community. Features STEM, Spanish, art, and music classes.
Redeemer School has been part of the Austin community since 1955. Our mission is to lead children to love Jesus, love learning, and love others. Redeemer provides a safe, dynamic learning environment for academic excellence, faith development, and caring for the community. Our students and parents enjoy RLS as a caring environment that often has alumni bringing their children to the same place they enjoyed as students themselves. Some families have their third generation attending Redeemer Lutheran School. ACCREDITATIONS

🏈 RAIN OR SHINE, OUR RATTLERS FIGHT! 🏈
When the rain started pouring, our 7/8 Flag Football team didn’t slow down—they kept pushing, kept battling, and kept playing!
And when the final whistle blew… VICTORY!
Way to show that Rattler grit, boys! We’re proud of you! 🧡💙
🏐🧡 Rattler Homecoming was one for the books! 🧡🏐
Last night was Redeemer Rattler Homecoming, and what a night it was! We went into the evening ready for 4 games and 4 wins against Austin Classical—and our Rattlers delivered! 🎉
The rain had other plans for our Flag Football games, and unfortunately had to be cancelled, but our Volleyball teams came out swinging and brought home the victories! 🏐🔥
And the best part? The Rattler crowd showed up! Families, students, and fans filled the stands to cheer on our athletes, celebrate their hard work, and make Homecoming feel extra special. We even had Redeemer alumni return to campus to cheer on the next generation of Rattlers! 🧡💙
There’s just something special about Rattler pride, Homecoming, and a community that shows up for one another.
What a night! GO RATTLERS! 🐍🧡💙
🎉 Happy Birthday Remy! 🎉
Our 2nd Grade Rattlers had a very special surprise for our Maintenance Supervisor, Remy Cassanova on his birthday! They showered him with gifts and lots of appreciation to let him know just how much we love having him at Redeemer! 🧡🐍
One of our favorite traditions is that each grade gets to celebrate their own teachers AND an additional staff member who helps make Redeemer such a special place. This year, 2nd Grade celebrates Remy!!!!🙌
Thank you, Remy, for all you do to keep our campus running smoothly! We appreciate you! 🧡

❤️ TALK ABOUT JESUS AT HOME ❤️
“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
— Deuteronomy 6:6–7
What if some of the most important faith conversations with our children happen in the most ordinary moments?
Around the dinner table. 🥘
In the car. 🚗
During bedtime. 🌙
While making breakfast. 🥞
On the couch after a long day.
God calls us to talk about Him with our children—not just during church or Bible class, but throughout the rhythms of everyday life.
Talk about what God is teaching you. Ask your children what they’re learning. Pray together. Answer their questions. Point out God’s blessings. Talk about how faith helps us when life is hard.
Sometimes, it’s the simple conversations at home that leave the deepest impression on a child’s heart. ❤️
Parents, keep talking. Keep teaching. Keep pointing your children to Jesus. 🙏

🌟 5th Grade Overnight Adventure at Camp Lonestar! 🌟
What a week to remember! 💙
Forty 5th graders, 3 incredible teachers, and countless amazing volunteers headed to Camp Lonestar for an unforgettable overnight adventure filled with fun, faith, friendship, and a whole lot of water! 💦
Our students swam in the pool, splashed in the lake, and took the plunge down a two-story water slide! They tried their hands at archery, tackled team-building challenges, and learned more about what it means to follow Jesus. ❤️
And as the sun went down, they gathered under the stars to sing worship songs, make memories, and celebrate the One who brought us all together. ✨🌙
A HUGE thank you to our teachers and the countless volunteers who poured their time, energy, and hearts into making this trip possible. We are so grateful for each of you!
What a gift it was to watch these 40 students learn, laugh, grow, and shine! 💙
I LOVE MY WHITE SHOES… BUT I LOVE WATER DAY EVEN MORE!
Our Toddlers (12 months–2 years) had a little Pete the Cat adventure! After reading Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by James Dean, our teachers came up with the purr-fect way to bring the story to life! 🐱📚
The children used child-friendly shaving cream to “paint” their feet, creating their very own Pete-inspired masterpieces. Then came the BEST part… WATER DAY! 💦🫧
Some little artists painted their shoes, while others enjoyed the faux rain, splashing through water-filled sponges, and taking turns on the water slide. ☔️💧🛝
And just like Pete… no matter what color their shoes (or feet!) became, our toddlers kept on singing, smiling, playing, and having fun! ❤️
Because sometimes the best learning happens when you get a little messy! 🐾💦

⭐️ FEATURED STAFF MEMBER: DANIEL FOOTE ⭐️
Meet Daniel Foote, who has the privilege of serving Redeemer as an 8th Grade Homeroom Teacher, Middle School History Teacher, and Athletic Director! 🏀📚
Born and raised in San Antonio, Daniel’s love for sports started at a young age. Growing up in a neighborhood filled with kids his age meant that most evenings were spent outside playing everything from four square and kickball to basketball and two-hand-touch football. Those childhood games sparked a love of sports that continues to be a big part of his life today!
When he’s not at Redeemer, Daniel enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board and card games, watching movies and TV shows, and, of course, playing and watching sports.
This year marks eight years in Lutheran education and five years at Redeemer! Daniel has spent the past eight years working with middle school students and says he is incredibly thankful for the opportunity.
As Athletic Director, Daniel sees sports as so much more than competition. He loves using athletics to teach students important life skills—working hard, competing with purpose, showing respect, demonstrating good character and sportsmanship, and learning what it means to be a great teammate. He also loves the relationships this role allows him to build with students and families throughout the Redeemer community. ❤️
His hope for this school year is that every athlete grows—not only in their athletic abilities, but also as a person. He wants students to discover how they can contribute to the success of a team, no matter what “team” they find themselves on throughout life.
And this year is especially meaningful as Daniel gets to finish the journey with our 8th graders. This is the second class he has watched grow from 5th grade athletics all the way through their final year at Redeemer. What a special journey!
We are so thankful for the time, energy, encouragement, and heart Daniel pours into our students. We can’t wait to see what this year holds! Go Rattlers! 🐍 💙

📖✨ “The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.”
— Proverbs 18:15
At Redeemer, we believe learning is about more than what we know—it’s about cultivating curious hearts and willing minds. ❤️
Every question asked, every lesson learned, and every new discovery is an opportunity to grow in wisdom and understanding.
May we always encourage our students to listen, learn, ask questions, and seek knowledge—not simply to know more, but to grow into the people God has called them to be. 🙏📚
