This wasn’t just a renovation, it was the beginning of a new chapter for one family. 🏡✨

Purchased from a family member, this mid-century modern home held decades of history. Our goal wasn’t to erase that story, it was to build on it. We preserved the character that made this home special (hello, original architecture 👋) while reworking the layout for how this family actually lives today, combining two original bathrooms into one spacious shared bath, and letting a warm, soft white palette tie it all together.

The result? A home that honors its past and works beautifully for modern family life — filled with personal touches, treasured pieces, and a whole lot of color and character along the way. 🎨

Who said family homes have to play it safe?🏡

This remodel for a young couple and their two kids proves otherwise. Bold colors. Unexpected details. Expressive design in every corner, from a dining room anchored by a striking piece of art, to a home office where the wallpaper does the talking.

Because beautiful wasn’t enough. This home also had to work, for real family life, real mornings, real chaos.

The result? A space that feels collected, expressive, and deeply personal.

A home designed for one family, completed for another.✨

Blue Lake began as a full-scope design project, but midway through construction, the original owners sold the home. The new owners later reached out to us for help completing the interiors, without realizing we were the team who had designed the house from the very beginning.

Instead of starting over, we continued the story, refining the interiors around their lifestyle while preserving the architectural vision.

Now, this modern lakeside retreat is featured in Houzz Tours. 🤍
A reminder that great design can evolve with the people who call a house home.
