Today, Austin Pride proudly honors Juneteenth—a day of liberation, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of justice.

As we celebrate the end of slavery in the United States, we also recognize the immeasurable contributions of Black leaders, activists, artists, and community members who have shaped both the fight for equality and the LGBTQIA+ movement.

Pride would not exist without the courage and leadership of Black voices. We stand in solidarity as we continue working toward a future where every person can live authentically, safely, and with dignity.

This Juneteenth, let’s celebrate freedom, uplift Black joy, and recommit ourselves to equity, inclusion, and collective liberation.
