Dove Springs Community Developers Program

The Dove Springs Community Developers Program is a young adult leadership and community development initiative of Parker Lane United Methodist Church. The purpose of the program is to transform the Dove Springs community into a place of health, healing, wholeness and prosperity. It trains young adult leaders to be “agents of change” in their local communities and neighborhoods. They learn skills, methods and techniques for transforming neighborhood. They receive training in the areas of: community development, servant leadership, facilitation, organizing and action planning. The end goal of this project is solve problems in the Dove Springs community through participation, collaboration and collective action.
