📣 EPIC KIDS CAMP IS BACK! 🌟 Thanksgiving is coming fast (exactly 56 days away)! Between turkey prep and grocery runs, this holiday week can get wild. Give yourself some well-deserved quiet time to tackle your to-do list while the kids have an absolute blast at with Ms. Yaya at our EPIC Kids Thanksgiving Camp!

Join us for our 6:56 prayer!
God, Be Merciful to Me, a Sinner

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” (Luke 18:9-14).

Are you praying with a proud, unbroken heart? God hates pride that lifts ourselves above Him. In fact, He has promised He will “resist the proud.” This is a resistance we cannot afford. A proud, judgmental, unbroken heart will hinder prayer. Our first prayer should be “Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner saved by grace!”

When someone asks you to pray for them (or even if they don’t, but you sense a need) instantly pray. Why wait to bring God into the equation? Often if you delay you will lose the sense of urgency in prayer or forget to pray altogether.

Above all, always respond to every impulse to pray. It is the work of the Holy Spirit. So never resist, never postpone it, never push it aside because you are busy. Give yourself to it, yield to it; and you will find by not delaying with respect to the matter with which you are dealing, you will begin to see more answers in your prayer life.

TONIGHT is our new Family Night at Friendship where we have something for every member of the family! Dinner is served at 6PM then we'll break into our Bible study groups.
