BANDCAMP FRIDAY, Y'ALL!

Today is the day Bandcamp waives fees artists pay per sale and it's the best time to buy the Quasar Cycles/Living Planet catalogue. Little guys like myself get lost in the Spotify sea, so this is the best way to show support.

There is a split cassette with early versions of Outside Standard Time tracks on it, recorded straight off the original Quasar boombox i.e. the self-titled debut, along with the only QC track to feature vocals (Synapsin'). All other releases are currently digital only, but hoping to break that tradition with the next album that will be released later this year.

RIP Troy Millward

Troy was one of the most genuinely uplifting people I've ever met. I always looked forward to working with him, whether we were teaching a summer camp together or jamming. This picture was from when he, Mark Turk and I played a cover of Play That Funky Music with a choir in front of City Hall, taken in his signature selfie style. I had wanted the 3 of us to start a cover band after that and it never got off the ground. Troy and I were actually playing in a band recently and had a couple of tunes under our belt already. I'm devastated that he's no longer here to keep the beat going.

It's been a really rough start this year. I know too many people who have lost someone in the last couple of months. Tell everyone you love and appreciate them now. You never know when the last time will be. Much love to you Troy, your kindness and caring attitude will be sorely missed in a world that desperately needs more.
