Music has always been an important part of my filmmaking process coming from music video. I’ve been a fan of Todor’s work for years but collaborating with him was a masterclass. Thank you brother.

I heard about a young, diligent, imaginative stunt coordinator who just happened to be a Black woman & so it was meant to be Angelica. Thank you rockstar.

🎭Achievement in Casting
I started my TV career w/ this casting legend so I couldn’t be more happy that our 1st film together won her 1st CSA in an illustrious 30+ year career. Thank you for always searching for talent where no one else would look.

Yesterday morning as I took my son to daycare, I found out our family was nominated for 10 Canadian Screen Awards!!!
Mad ❤️to the wild community of artistic rebels that came together to make a film about preparing the next generation for a world that seems like its eating itself alive, and the absolute importance of ensuring we cultivate community, culture and love as a means of resistance. It’s our insanely talented cast and crew who powered this story, centering a unique, kick ass Black & Indigenous family, and I’m forever grateful.

Real talk this is hands down the most ludicrous series I’ve ever worked on. You know you’re doing something special when you end up laughing everyday with the people you work with. Big S/O to for this wild take of one man’s History, for running a mile in the legends shoes, my brother in art and the rest of the incredible crew & hilarious cast that jumped back in time to tell the story of the dirtiest race in history that changed that the games forever. It’s a blessing working with people that make the work seem like play. I couldn’t have had a better time directing episodes 205 & 206 of cause of these wonderful humans.
There are so many amazing cast and crew that brought their A GAME & poured themselves diligently into our ambitious shoot days all the while moving with a contagious sense of community and enthusiasm. I got nothing but love for how y’all showed up everyday ready to tackle whatever challenges with had with laughs and teamwork. I don’t have all your tags so if you see you holla!

Action, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Thrillers, Anime and Comic books have been my main menu since I was 7 years old and picked up a pencil to tried to trace my first X-Men, Hulk & PowerMan & Iron fist comics. I used to sneak downstairs and watch Akira, Aliens, Predator, Action Jackson, Lethal Weapon, Scarface & ET on from behind the couch when my brother had friends over. As fast they could serve them up I’d eat a full plate. So it’s life long dream and an incredible honor to be nominated for THE awards that celebrate the power and reach of Genre Filmmaking in both TV and Film.
