Graduate Spotlight: Anthony Gutierrez
Anthony started at Copeville SUD as a water operator and is now serving as a crew lead. Along the way, he earned his Customer Service Inspector and Class C Water Distribution licenses through TRWA’s Registered Apprenticeship Program and graduated on July 9.
TRWA’s Apprenticeship Program helps utilities invest in their employees while building a stronger workforce for the future.

Join TRWA in Tyler on Wednesday, October 28, for a legislative discussion with State Representatives Daniel Alders, District 6, and Cole Hefner, District 5.
This is event is from 4 to 5 p.m. at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss water issues and hear about potential legislation ahead of the 2027 Legislative Session.

Meet the newest class of TRWA apprentices! This July, 7 new apprentices joined the program, representing 5 water and wastewater systems from across the state. A huge thank-you to the employers who saw the value in growing their workforce and said yes to an apprentice.

Join TRWA Instructor Bruce Pearson for a virtual Water Distribution Study Prep session tomorrow, Friday, August 21, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Review key exam concepts, Texas certification requirements and the role water operators play in protecting public health and safety.
The session is FREE for personnel from TRWA member systems and $150 for non-members. Participants are encouraged to have a TRWA Water Distribution manual available during the session.
