The greatest RocknRoll band ever ! Lemmy, Danny B Harvey & Slim Jim Phantom Lemmy (Motörhead), Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats) and rockabilly legend Danny B.
Harvey (Rockats) teamed up in 1999 to create a high-energy, take no prisoners combo to remind the world how Rock'n'Roll was supposed to f*ckin sound. For over 16 years Headcat continued doing just that to the accolades of fans worldwide. Since Lemmy's untimely passing in 2015 Slim Jim and Danny B. have put Headcat on hold out of respect for their fallen band mate and have waited until the appropriate time to start performing again. In Dec 2016 Slim Jim & Danny B. were asked to perform as Headcat in Berlin, the show was a gigantic success and the ensuing outcry for more Headcat shows from fans worldwide was too loud for Slim Jim and Danny B. to ignore. So In early 2017 Slim Jim and Danny B went into the studio with former Morbid Angel frontman and bassist, David Vincent, to record a few songs for future release. The sessions went so well and the new sound of Headcat, with David's deep baritone voice and thunderous bass playing, convinced Slim Jim and Danny B. they had to continue Headcat with David Vincent as vocalist and bassist. Rockabilly or Death Metal, as Headcat has been saying all along, it doesn't matter it's all Rock'n'roll. So forget all those rock posers, who have nothing new to say, passing themselves off as the real thing. When it come to real Rock'n'Roll these three guys have lived it, breathed it, bled it and have set the lifestyle example that all you rebels, rockers and outcasts should strive to follow……… without further ado we bring you HeadCat!

Here’s a cool interview with Lemmy Kilmister from 2011 that he did for Music Radar. He talks a lot about HeadCat and how we started the band during the Elvis Tribute sessions Slim Jim Phantom and I were doing at the time . Interesting time capsule . Danny B. Harvey
“People look down on stuff that sells. What do you call that? Downward snobbery I guess”: Revisiting our classic interview with the legendary Lemmy Back in 2012 we spoke to the late Motörhead mainman about his other great passion - rockabilly

I'm finishing up my long awaited Surf Instrumental album now. Check out this one.
Lemmy Kilmister was a big fan of the Shadows and even told me that Jet Harris, their bassist, was instrumental in his decision to switch from guitar to bass .

This HeadCat Record, Cassette tape & CD will be released worldwide May 15, 2026 by Cleopatra Records . The album has been remastered, 3 unreleased alternative mixes made during the original sessions in 1999 have been added . We’re so excited that Headcat & Buddy Hollt’s names will be linked . I lot of people don’t realize that on Lemmy Kilmister , Slim Jim Phantom and Danny B. Harvey’s first album 9 out of the 13 songs they recorded were Buddy Holly songs . Also Included in the vinyl is a signed poster of Lemmy & Danny B onstage . Like Lemmy said in his book White Line Fever , “Buddy Holly never wrote or recorded a bad song” .
Headcat To Release “Headcat Plays Buddy Holly” In May Headcat, the bluesy rockabilly band that featured the late Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead) along with Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats) and Danny B. Harvey (Lonesome Spurs, The Rockats), will be releas…
