About a month ago I started spreading some of her ashes on some of our favorite trails where we used to go hiking together and I was surprised at how emotional I got. The grief doesn’t leave you, it just subsides for a while and can come back at unexpected times. What helps me through it is to allow the feelings to surface, fully be in that moment, let it pass and release. I practice gratitude by remembering the good times and know deep down that she’s still watching over me.
She was special, the kind of dog that comes around once in your life to remind you what unconditional love is.
I miss you terribly Miss Bella… 💗

Mid-year reset in New Mexico.
