Beautiful sky after the chaos. 🌤️

A sudden gust came through around 6:20 yesterday evening, flipping my neighbor’s tent and knocking half of my displays and jewelry to the ground. My own tent started lifting too, and thankfully two friends jumped in to help hold it down while I packed up.

I’ve decided not to return to the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival today so I can sort through everything and check for damage.

The weather lately has made outdoor markets especially discouraging and disappointing. So much time, work, and expense goes into preparing for these events.

Every design starts with paper and scissors. 🤠💕

While cleaning up photos on my phone, I found this little gem from April 2023.

Before anything goes into production, I print each design, cut it out by hand, and wear it to make sure the size and proportions feel just right.

This tiny paper Cowboy Boot helped me catch a few details before production. The first enamel sample was a little too pink, so I softened the color and changed the top of the boot to white before the final version.

I love looking back at these little moments and seeing how an idea evolves.
