One of the most rewarding parts of studying abroad is seeing learning come to life in unexpected ways.
These students recently participated in a sustainability-focused experience in Amsterdam, working together to remove plastic from the city's canals while learning how one organization is transforming environmental challenges into practical solutions.
These hands-on experiences help students connect what they're learning in the classroom with the real world, while building teamwork, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of global issues.
It's one example of how study abroad can expand learning far beyond the classroom.

One of the many gifts of study abroad is the opportunity to travel the world. Along with that comes navigating airports, train stations, and public transportation in unfamiliar cities.
A few simple habits can help your student stay safe while they travel:
1️⃣ Skip the noise-canceling headphones: staying aware of their surroundings matters more than their playlist
2️⃣ A TSA-approved lock on their suitcase: a small thing that saves a lot of headaches
3️⃣ Passport, wallet, phone, medications: any essential always should be in their carry-on
