It’s just past 15 years since our trip to
It’s going to be hard to avoid some trips down memory lane as we approach 20 years as a band 🧟
We’re planning something very special to celebrate the occasion. In the meantime if you have any old footage or photos of the band from any era but particularly from back near the start we’d love to see them.
Feel free to send us them in a dm or else email them to

It’s been lovely to see our record appear on a handful of end of year lists. Thank you to those who have included First of the Birds among their favourite records of 2025 and to all you have bought, streamed, played it on the radio and written about it.
It sounds like a very obvious thing to say but we absolutely rely on people like you to let others know about small, independent records like ours. And we all know the best finds happen by word of mouth. So if you like ours, and you think a pal might like it too, consider sending it to them.
Thanks for sticking with us and see you in ‘26.

🎄 Need some last minute gifts for the Fallow fan in your life? 🎄
We’ve updated the shop with the various bits of AF merch left over from the recent tour.
There are a dozen or so FNU hats left, literally a handful of tour screen prints and some FotB t-shirts - please swipe to enjoy our pal Graeme modelling one in some sort of sports venue in Boston the other week.
There are of course vinyl and CD copies of First Of The Birds too. Nothing beats new music on Christmas Day 🎁
Orders completed before 15th Dec will fly out before Christmas. 🦅

If Facebook memories are to be believed, it’s 15 years to the day since we opened for at . It was the first of two nights in that iconic room, the first time/s we ever played there.
(Have a scroll to see some live photos taken by our ol’ pal . So young)
It feels somewhat fitting, then, to be singing a couple of songs written by Scott and the band on Friday night in Stirling for the ‘Sing The Greys: a live celebration of Frightened Rabbit’ event in aid of
We learned so much on that UK tour with FR back in 2010 (The Winter of Mixed Drinks era) and we’ll forever be thankful to them for taking us under their wing that winter. We all stood at the back of the room at the end of each show singing the refrain from ‘The Loneliness…’ alongside everyone else. I’ll be remembering those early, heady days & nights when I’m singing Scott’s words on Friday night. What an incredible band they are; still a continual and lasting inspiration.
See you there.
Louis
P.s. and as for the barras… perhaps we’ll get another crack it before we hang up our boots

Thank you! To all who came and supported us on our final two dates of the UK tour, in Dundee and Glasgow, thanks! Both shows felt very special and we really appreciated you being there.
We were much more concerned with putting on the best shows we could than taking proper photos but here are some shonky ones from our pov.
Big thanks also to the teams at both and , to .hopkins and for opening the shows, and to and for being our creative tech team in Glasgow.
We have one more show this year; on Dec 6th for . Hope to see some of you there.
For those who missed out on merch items throughout the tour - we will stock our online shop and do an update post once items are available. Christmas is coming after all..
Thanks again to all who came out to see us on this tour. It obviously wouldn’t be possible without your support.
