warming my throne each night,

That large bed 🛏️

Thanks for the water,
fresh twice a day,
Filtered and chilled
the exact right way.
You test it, you sniff it,
you serve it under stress,
Because one wrong bubble 🫧
and it’s all over,
Oopsie! What a mess! 💦

I appreciate how you toil and sweat
To buy me the snacks
you think I want, that I then, reject.
You open the cans
of prescription food
with reverent care,
While I sniff, turn my nose up,
and leave.
Oh the audacity! 😹

Thanks for the
lint roller, the laser, and the brush.
For not screaming when I 3AM rush.
For shaking the treats 😻
‘til my royal will is restored.

For trying to take me to the vet because we all know when the carrier is out,
it means WAR! 🫯
And for worshipping me 👸
as I walk all over your keyboard. 😼

Most of all, thanks for
that noble task,
The one no royal would ever ask: 👑
You sift my litter,
you hold your breath,
You face my treasures 🪎
and cheat certain death. 😷
For this, I grant you one single purr.
Don’t get used to it.
That’s all you incur.

Right this minute!
Worn out from snoopervising. The Bipeds continue working hard on the balcony.
Preparing to bring ALL the plants and various tables and shelves inside. All the while trying to stay safe in the heat and rainstorms.

The Man read on the weather app that it will "feel like" 117 degrees tomorrow. Ohhhh GOODY!
