Since their premier in November of 2005, Parallelogramophonograph has been more than just any improv troupe. Fiercely dedicated to the craft and art of improvised theatre, PGraph has held a weekly show non-stop since 2006. Early on in their time together Kaci Beeler, Kareem Badr, Roy Janik, and Valerie Ward knew they wanted to do something different onstage. Intrigued by the challenge of telling fantastic fully-improvised stories together as an ensemble, PGraph spent years developing original formats and studying the art of theatre, improv, and storytelling. They’ve toured the country and the world performing and teaching their unique brand of improv with appearances in over 60 cities in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe, and the UK. When not on tour, they perform every Thursday at 8pm at The Hideout Theatre in Downtown Austin, TX.

We had an absolute banger of a time in Nottingham & Brighton - worked with dozens of improvisers and taught over 27 hours of workshops!
Now we’re back in Austin and back to our weekly improvised play - This Friday at 8:30pm at the new Hideout Theatre space off N Lamar.
If you haven’t been out to see us yet come on out! We’d love to show you the new space and to celebrate an art form that is full of joyful authenticity and creativity in a world that is increasingly artificial. 
Plus, we’re really fxcking funny. And you need a laugh.

We had a BLAST at the Robin Hood Improv Fest last week!
Taught a 3-Day / 15 hour version of our Narrative Intensive to 33 amazing folks - performed an hour long narrative show in the festival (which ended up being a sci-fi quantum romance), guested in some other lovely shows, and even got a glowing review in the local arts rag Leftlion (screen cap of review included below).
Met some wonderful folks and reconnected with old friends.

This upcoming weekend we’ll be in Brighton with AndAlso Improv for a show on Friday and workshops on Saturday and Sunday. It’s been 14 years since we were last in Brighton so come and join us if you’re nearby!

Two announcements!
One, we’ve been told we are inductees to the 2026 Austin Arts Hall of Fame. 🤯 What?? We are flabbergasted and _so honored_. This is HUGE news.
More information about that will come out as we have it, but there is apparently a Statesman article out about it. 😵🏆🥰🌆🎭🎟️
Two, we have a show tonight at the new Hideout Theatre space at 8:30pm. Only two left in Austin before we take a break to travel for almost a month. ✈️🌃🚊🧳

Hey Europe! We’ll be in Germany for the IFO fest through Nov 8th and then having November 9th-12th potentially free to teach elsewhere - maybe a group or community in Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, or elsewhere would like to host us?

Our Summer 2026 Austin Narrative Intensive was this past weekend and WOW - 12 hours of digging into improvised plays is always SO MUCH and NEVER ENOUGH at the same time. We had a fantastic group of 16 folks in this sold-out cohort and all four members of PGraph teaching. Besides some lovely Austinites, we also had folks drive in from San Antonio, Houston, and Alabama to work with us!
8 Years was way too long in between Austin intensives. Perhaps we'll do it again in the Fall or next Spring if there's time/interest.
Next up: two simultaneous intensives in Nottingham in late August/Early September. There might be one spot left?
