Announcing summer tour dates later this week...

Hey friends, we have some great news. After a long wait, the court has finally reviewed and declined to hear the pending case against our drummer Yamal, and the band is officially back in business.

Last May, we were forced to cancel a European tour when Yamal was pulled off our flight by Customs and Border Protection and subsequently arrested. The charges were based on outdated information from a previously resolved custody dispute back in 2024. Following the guidance of Yamal’s lawyer, we stayed quiet so as not to complicate the legal process. We have been waiting for the Texas court to act, and they have now reviewed and declined to hear the case, bringing this matter to a close.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and Yamal through this ordeal. We’re incredibly grateful to Orsak:Oslo and Sonic Arts who helped us untangle the mess of a last-minute tour cancellation, to the European venues and promoters that were extremely gracious, and to Blues Funeral Recordings and Ivy Agency for all their help along the way. We really can’t wait to get back to playing shows.

Our friend Camacho passed away last night. Jason was one of my favorite drummers to watch perform—he exploded from his drum throne with a rhythm and timing that were uniquely his. Whenever LB played a show in Austin, you could count on him to be in the front row, pulsating with energy. Years ago, when we needed a substitute drummer, he courageously volunteered to jump in the tour van and pull off a set of songs that were completely new to him. He was intense—both as a performer and as an audience member. He got in your face and demanded that you give it all up. If Jason was in the crowd, you couldn’t phone anything in. He made you perform better, whether you wanted to or not.

His passing is a huge loss to the community. Rest in peace, Camacho.

We appreciate the tremendous outpouring of support from y’all today. We still know very little about the situation, but we have been asked by our drummer’s family and his legal team to respect their privacy while this situation evolves. We intend to do so, and we send all our love their way. We’ll share updates from the family when we can. Thanks again for everyone’s support. -LB

UPDATE: Thank you for your outpouring of support it means the world to us. Our drummer has secured the legal representation he needs and we are waiting to hear what comes next. We want to reiterate that we truly don’t know what’s going on. We have more questions than answers, but we will keep you posted as much as we can. At this time the family asks for privacy as they navigate the situation.

We are heartbroken to announce we have to cancel our upcoming European tour. Our drummer, who is a Mexican citizen and lawful permanent resident of the United States (green card holder) was forcibly removed from our flight to Europe by Customs and Border Patrol at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Monday May 12. He has not been released, and we have been unable to contact him. We are currently working with an immigration lawyer to find out more information and to attempt to secure his release. We are devastated to cancel this tour, but we are focusing all of our energy and resources on Yamal’s safety and freedom. We are hopeful that this is a temporary setback and that it could be safe for us to reschedule this tour in the future. In our absence, our touring partners Orsak:Oslo will continue to perform the tour. We urge everyone to go see this amazing band and support them over the next couple weeks.

This Friday we’re in Austin, TX at RADIO EAST with Good Field— gonna wild. Monday we head to Europe for a run with Orsak:Oslo —can not wait!
