A new song I’m working on called “My Father’s Eyes.”

It was inspired by a sermon from one of the pastors at our church, Victory City Church . He preached from Acts 3, and this song came a day or two later as I was reflecting back on his message.

It’s a simple prayer asking God to help us see people the way He sees them.

It still needs some work, but I wanted to share it anyway.

“Hand to the Plow” is a song about my great-grandparents, Pawpaw and Granny with the Chickens.

They weren’t famous. They didn’t have much. But they worked hard, loved their family, kept their faith, and stayed the course. The older I get, the more I realize how much they shaped me.

I started this song two years ago and finally finished it this week. I hope to record this one someday. Until then, here’s a little piece of their story.
