SpeedRailz
Bartender competition community using media and events to increase industry opportunities
Think you’re fast? Come find out.
We have around 20+ Houston bartenders signed up for Last Man Standing, with room for roughly 15–20 more before we close registration.
Your first opportunity to get reps is September 23 at Atlas Heights. We’ll walk through the rules, let you learn the competition wells, get some scrimmage runs in, and Atlas will have happy hour, food and drinks available.
Then it gets real:
Oct. 7 — Qualifier: Top 8 advance
Nov. 4 — Sudden-death championship
Winner takes $1,000
Want in? DM us or apply through the link in bio.
Want to study first? The full rules and competitor guide are inside the online Railz Network platform.
Being fast at work doesn’t automatically make you fast at SpeedRailz.
After nearly two years officiating our competitions, YourBartender 🤌🍻 sees the same mistake: bartenders showing up like it’s another shift.
Every competitor has a referee, penalties get added directly to your time, and your run is recorded. Knowing the rules and practicing the format can matter just as much as raw speed.
That’s why we’re getting everyone together at Atlas Heights on September 23 for orientation, rules walkthroughs, and full-speed scrimmage reps.
Sept. 23 — Orientation + Scrimmage
Oct. 7 — Qualifier
Nov. 4 — Top 8 Championship
$1,000 to the Last Man Standing. Applications open at the link in bio.

One thing we wanted to get right from the beginning was making SpeedRailz approachable to every type of bartender.
Craft, volume, neighborhood, fine dining, clubs…
Roman Braxton understood that early. He’s competed with us multiple times, won a relay championship and made multiple finals. Today, he’s helping build the beverage program at our HTX tournament host venue Atlas Heights while still staying connected to the Speedrailz community across the state of Texas.
That’s what these three years have really been about: put different hospitality people in the same room, let everybody show what they’re good at, and give them a chance to learn from each other.
And we’re doing it again.
Compete if that’s your thing. If it isn’t, come hang out, meet some people and be part of the room.
An elevated cocktail bar can still be your neighborhood industry spot.
That’s part of what Antonio Vargas wants to build here in Houston. After seeing Atlas bartenders compete with SpeedRailz in Dallas and Houston, he’s now opening the doors for the next chapter of the competition.
We’re excited to partner with Atlas Heights as the Houston host venue for our upcoming SpeedRailz campaign, starting with Last Man Standing and continuing into our next Craft Clash.

You can’t always take what works in one city and copy + paste it into another.
Roman Braxton has gotten to see Atlas Heights from both sides — helping launch the Houston location while also spending time at their Atlas Bishop Arts location in Dallas.
His biggest takeaway? Pay attention to the city you’re serving.
For Houston, that means leaning into the city’s mix of cultures and letting that show up in the drinks, stories and overall experience. At Atlas, every cocktail is inspired by a place and built to tell a story.
Pretty fitting that Atlas Heights will also be the home of our next Speed Railz Houston campaign.
Rome is a former SpeedRailz competitor himself, and we’ve even had Atlas bartenders compete with us during our Dallas run.
Excited to bring those worlds together again this fall.
Houston time to pull up to Atlas Heights and see what they’re building.

Houston, we found our home for the fall.
We’re excited to announce Atlas Heights as the host venue for the next phase of Speed Railz Houston.
And this time, we’re putting two very different sides of bartending to the test.
Last Man Standing is about speed, accuracy and ex*****on under pressure.
Craft Clash, featuring 2 year barrel aged Waterloo Gin Company , gives bartenders room to slow things down, get creative and build an entire experience around a cocktail.
Two completely different opportunities to show us what you can do behind the bar.
We’re putting together the competitor roster now.
Houston bartenders only: if you want in, throw your name in the ring through the link in our bio.

Our San Antonio SpeedRailz Champion Riamond Lomeli has spent August using her platform at The Green Lantern to give back. Every Blue Daiquiri ordered this month has generated a $5 donation to the Autistic Self Advocacy Network.
And she’s closing the month out with a little competition.
Tomorrow, August 31, Ria is hosting a Daiquiri-Off at Green Lantern, putting bartenders head-to-head to see who can knock out a daiquiri the fastest — with a few familiar SpeedRailz faces jumping behind the bar too.
San Antonio, pull up to Green Lantern tomorrow. If you can’t make it, you can still support the cause through the donation link in Riamond Lomeli bio.

NYC, we’re back. 🗽
Excited to get back out there and keep building on all the conversations we started during our first trip.
We’re kicking off the week Monday night at Wolfe Tones Pub & Kitchen with a small industry meet & greet while Bob’s Bar NYC aka Bob’s on 12th works the bar. Nothing complicated — just come grab a drink, meet some people and help us figure out where we need to be and who we need to meet while we’re in town.
Tuesday, we’re looking to bounce around Manhattan, East & West Village.
Wednesday, we’re taking it over to Brooklyn.
Thursday, we’re finally making our first trip out to New Jersey.
A lot of the week is intentionally being left open because we want the people we meet to help shape where this goes.
If you’re a bartender, operator, creator, event professional, brand rep or just somebody doing something interesting around hospitality in the area, we want to connect.
Come catch us Monday or shoot a DM with where we need to pull up.
RSVP for Monday through the link in bio.
How far can you take a cocktail theme before it becomes an entire experience?
Sean “Hunnidt” Celestine, Sr built Bikini Bottom after the pink color of Waterloo Gin Company Prickly Pear & Rose immediately reminded him of Patrick Star. From there, he started turning different SpongeBob characters into actual components of the drink.
Patrick inspired the gin. Mr. Krabs became a pineapple-hibiscus shrub. Squidward inspired an “ocean water” tincture using blue oyster mushrooms, seaweed and blue spirulina. Sandy became a Texas pecan and sea-salt tuile. And SpongeBob himself became a Waterloo-infused Rice Krispies treat.
That’s a good lesson for anyone building an experience: once you choose the story, look for every opportunity to reinforce it.
Check out Sean and his work, and head into Railz network online community for the complete Bikini Bottom recipe, preparation methods and story behind the build.
