This morning, as the meeting was kicking off behind closed doors, I stood with advocates in Austin to show my support for releasing the data to the public.
Pregnancy complications are common, and deaths are often preventable. Accountability and transparency should not be delayed for political expediency.
I keep hearing about the loss of OB/GYNs in rural Texas communities, and how hard it is for doctors to provide the care that women need to survive pregnancy complications.
I’m proud to have passed laws that expanded postpartum healthcare access and protected children and survivors, and honored to stand next to Texans fighting for their freedom and safety.

I sent a letter to Elon Musk yesterday…
Dan Patrick's account posted two illegal AI deepfakes of me on X. After the New York Times reported on my police report, they vanished. Those posts are evidence in an active investigation.
My letter requests that Elon Musk provide the deleted posts to the Travis County Sheriff’s office.
I know one thing for sure: innocent people don't delete evidence.

Republicans are lying about their opponents this year because they can’t defend their own records.
Higher taxes, higher prices, and decades of corruption sit squarely on their shoulders. They’ve been in charge for 30 years. We can’t afford them anymore.
I believe we have a right to clean air, clean water and healthy soil. I want our rights guaranteed in the state constitution.
Back in 2023, I filed the Stewardship Amendment to guarantee Texans the right to a healthy environment. If it had passed, we could be using it this summer to push back against data centers.
As your Lieutenant Governor, I will prioritize passing the Stewardship Amendment and data center industry regulation.
We need to providing legal avenues for communities who are impacted by data centers today — and their pollution tomorrow.
