Museum Day is almost here! On Sunday, September 20, Thinkery is joining museums across Austin for a day of FREE admission and plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and learn together.

Museum Day is one of our busiest days of the year, and your visit may look a little different from a typical day at Thinkery. A little planning can help make your day of play go more smoothly.

You don’t have to be in attendance to get in on the action. The Imagine That Silent Auction is LIVE, with 40 incredible packages up for grabs and you don’t even need to leave home!

Imagine That is happening THIS THURSDAY! All week we will be celebrating the incredible community helping bring Imagine That to life and sharing ways YOU can join in the fun and support Thinkery. 💛

First up: our friends and Imagine That Collaboration Sponsor at ABC Home & Commercial Services rolled up their sleeves to help us build some seriously playful pieces for the big night! 🦜🌸

Their team assembled SO many LEGO flowers, parrots, peacocks, toucans, and more for this year’s centerpieces. Some employees even brought builds home to work on with their kids, while others turned it into a race to see who could build theirs the fastest!

Along the way, their team shared memories of Thinkery and Austin Children’s Museum, making this a very special and playful volunteer experience.

Back-to-school season means new routines, new adventures, and a whole lot to talk about. 🎒💛

For little learners, remembering a whole day can be a big ask. Try starting smaller with questions like “What did your hands touch today?” “Who helped you?” or “What made you laugh?”

Helping Little Learners Share Their Day - Thinkery As families settle back into school-year routines, you might be eager to hear about everything your child did while you were apart. But for little learners, “How was school?” can actually be a pretty big question.

Our school year General Admission hours are:

⏰ 10 AM–5 PM
💤 Closed Mondays – except for special events like The Thinkery Carnival
