Well, we are getting around to the busy part of our calendar year!

Back to the Woods is coming up September 25-27th. I went ahead and knocked back the Early Bird rate to August 10th, to allow folks to get their checks in and grab their tickets before rates go up. Grab yours today at www.backtothewoods.org

Why the 10th? Well come out with buns out on Saturday the 8th and and get wet at our annual pool party Gear Soup '26. Ask questions and meet some of your fellow campers early. Also cause its just fun to be in a pool in this heat. Find out more @

What about this weekend? Well we have our August Gear Night out at The Austin Eagle and let the classy TayTay Beignet slide a jello shot down your gullet while telling you about how her run for United Court of Austin. Clothes check starts at 10!

Come out to our August Gear Night and grab a jiggly shot or two from our very own TayTay Beignet and learn how you can get involved and vote in The United Court of Austin!

Don't forget! This Saturday at Austin Gears will be at the Eagle with July's installment of Austin Gears Gear Night! DJ Daddy D will be filling in for DJ Boost behind the decks.

It's going to be a hot one! So we're thinking comfort and staying cool. So, join us on Saturday night at the Eagle for Jocks for the 4th! Hope to see you there!

Hey guys and gals! - In the ongoing digital world we know that people are moving away from platforms like FaceBook and Instagram. So we are going to try something new and launch a monthly email based newsletter - The Grease.

The Grease is intended to help communicate to our members and interested community about news and announcements, upcoming events, the occasional informative article or two and anything else that might make sense.

Folks will be able to submit their own events and articles to go through consideration for inclusion in this newsletter to make sure this isn't just a one sided conversation either.

The Austin Gears council and producers of the Austin Person of Gear contest wish to make our support for Bambi Twist APOG2026. We are proud of our titleholder Bambi and cannot wait to ease what else she has in store for her title year.

It has come to our attention that some of our members have been questioning why our current
Person of Gear, Bambi, is attending events that previous titleholders have not.
To be clear, we wholeheartedly support what Bambi has been doing as our titleholder. She has
been visible in our community teaching kink classes and representing our organization at
several kink/leather/bdsm events.The fact that not all of those events are where some of our
previous titleholders have gone does not mean that Bambi is not doing the work of our
titleholder. She is doing it HER way, which is great. If you have questions about our titleholder

of the Austin Person of Gear contest.
And Austin Gears, as an organization, will be doing our best to support Bambi by posting
