Oita Japan Festival Tickets On Sale!

The ninth annual Oita Japan Festival is scheduled Sunday, September 22, 11 am - 4 pm at the Long Center at 701 W. Riverside Drive, Austin, TX 78704. The Austin-Oita Sister City Committee (AOSCC) hosts the event to celebrate Austin’s Japanese Sister City, Oita.

This family-friendly festival will include Japanese food and drink, kids’ activities, cultural education and more. Attendees will experience JPOP, Japanese drumming, Rakugo Japanese comedy, Japanese shodo dance calligraphy, modern-rock shamisen Japanese guitar, dancing, sumo, martial arts, kendo, jyuku, kyudo, tea ceremony, kimono dressing, doing business in Japan and making sushi seminars, a talk on Japanese gardening, and an artisan and festival marketplace. The featured performers are from our sister city of Oita, Japan.
