Engage Together
We support a global collaborative network to ENGAGE TOGETHER to combat human trafficking ... and mobilize those who desire to join them.
Engage Together® exists to end human trafficking and the exploitation of the vulnerable.

For coalitions and task force leaders evaluating a statewide model, the question is whether momentum carries all the way through to protection, or stalls out at insight.
Engage Together's two-phase approach is designed to prevent that stall.
• Phase 1: Assessment. A comprehensive, data-informed look at where risk concentrates and where coordination breaks down, paired with an interactive directory of vetted services.
• Phase 2: Mobilization. Coalitions and task forces use those findings to align sectors around specific, identified needs.
Each phase is built to sequence into the next, so insight turns into coordinated action rather than a standalone report.
We deliver both halves: the roadmap and the support to act on it.

For governors, attorney generals, and senators, the decision is not whether trafficking matters. It is whether the state's response stays fragmented or becomes coordinated.
State leadership rarely lacks motivation to act. What is often missing is a shared, credible, data-informed picture that holds up in legislative conversations and cross-agency funding decisions.
Engage Together's assessment model exists for exactly that audience and exactly that moment: the point where leadership is ready to move past awareness campaigns and into a coordinated statewide response.
We build the roadmap that gives state-level leadership a shared foundation to act from, rather than another report to file away.

Alabama has completed a statewide human trafficking assessment, and Phase 2 gives faith communities a specific, coordinated way to build on the trust they already carry.
Congregations across the state are trusted convening spaces and servants of vulnerable communities long before a coalition ever walks through the door. Phase 2 makes it possible to line up that trust and service to those in need with the state's actual response picture.
The invitation is to join what coalitions across Alabama are already building, in ways that fit each community's calling.
At Engage Together, we equip coalition leaders with the language and tools to invite faith communities into wise, coordinated engagement.

For coalitions and task force leaders evaluating a statewide model, sequence matters as much as substance.
Our model runs in two phases. Phase 1 delivers a comprehensive, data-informed assessment paired with an interactive directory of resources, giving a state its first shared picture of where risk concentrates and where coordination breaks down. Phase 2 turns that picture into coalition-led mobilization, with local leaders directing the work sector by sector.
Each phase is built to carry momentum forward, so insight becomes coordinated action instead of a report that sits on a shelf.
We build the roadmap in Phase 1 and support coalitions as they act on it in Phase 2.

North Texas has completed a comprehensive regional trafficking assessment, and the healthcare sector has one of the clearest openings in Phase 2 to strengthen coordinated response.
Frontline clinical teams already see the risk. What changes in Phase 2 is that identification and referral no longer depend on informal knowledge alone. Hospitals and clinics work from the same interactive service directory the coalition uses, so a patient concern moves cleanly into vetted community-based support instead of stalling at the point of discharge.
Healthcare is not being asked to solve trafficking. Healthcare is being asked to strengthen the referral system the region has now built together.
At Engage Together, we work to translate assessment findings into practical training pathways and referral tools clinical teams can put to use immediately.

For state leaders, the harder question is not whether people are doing the work. It is whether that work adds up to a coordinated system or stays a collection of separate efforts.
Coordination breaks down in ordinary ways. A hotline referral does not reach the right provider. A task force meets without data to prioritize its next move. None of this shows up as failure. It shows up as everyday operations, which is why it is easy to miss and hard to fix from inside.
At Engage Together, we build the data-informed assessment and directory that turn scattered activity into a system leaders can see and act on.
When combatting human trafficking, a state needs to operate from one shared picture. Our model, The Freedom Strategy, shows the framework of that shared picture.

For state agencies and service system leaders, the hardest part of the work is often not commitment.
It is deciding where to focus first.
A completed assessment changes what is possible and facilitates strategic focus and response. Professionals across healthcare, education, coalitions, service, civic, and faith-based organizations, and task forces move from informal knowledge to one current picture that guides compounded community gains.
That is why Engage Together delivers the assessment first, then supports the mobilization that is sustainable for eradicating human trafficking and protecting the vulnerable.

Civic organizations have long been catalysts for community change. By bringing people together, fostering collaboration, and inspiring local action, they help communities solve some of their most complex challenges—including human trafficking.
Across North Texas, civic organizations are strengthening the regional response by connecting community partners, raising awareness, mobilizing volunteers, supporting local initiatives, and helping build a culture of shared responsibility.
As North Texas progresses through Phase II, civic organizations have an opportunity to build on that leadership by engaging new partners, supporting coalition-led priorities, hosting community conversations, and helping connect every sector to a stronger, more coordinated response across all 17 counties.
At Engage Together®, we believe communities are strongest when everyone has a role to play. We help civic organizations connect their passion for community service with a shared roadmap that strengthens collaboration, expands community engagement, and creates lasting impact.

Building Stronger Communities Together
Across the country, communities are working every day to protect those at risk, support survivors, and prevent human trafficking. The commitment is there. The passion is there. The opportunity is to connect those efforts into a stronger, more coordinated community response.
When communities are connected, information flows more effectively, partnerships grow stronger, resources are invested more strategically, and every sector can build on the strengths of the others. Together, communities can accomplish far more than any one organization or sector could achieve alone.
At Engage Together®, we help states and communities build those connections through comprehensive assessments, shared roadmaps, and coordinated action grounded in data.
Every community has strengths to build on. Every state has the opportunity to create a stronger, more connected response. Together, we can make that vision a reality.

Parents and caregivers play one of the most important roles in prevention, and there’s now a new resource to support that role directly.
Caregiver Connect, from HHS’s Office on Trafficking in Persons, offers practical tips to help parents recognize risks related to human trafficking and online harms, talk openly with their kids, build safety skills together, and know where to turn for help.
At Engage Together, we believe informed families and strong systems work together, so sharing trusted, practical resources like this is part of how we support prevention at every level.
