As a guitar player, taking care of my hips and lower back has become so important.

Long hours driving, on airplanes, on stage, and carrying guitars can really add up. These simple exercises have made a big difference in how I feel, especially while touring.

They’re not glamorous, but they help keep me moving, playing, and feeling my best.

If you spend a lot of time sitting, traveling, or working on your feet, maybe they’ll help you too.

What fun being a guest on piano virtuoso Michael Kaeshammer’s national TV show, Cooking with Kaeshammer.

I’m no great in the kitchen, but Michael made me feel right at home. We managed to turn out a pretty damn good chili and cornbread… then got down and played some blues together.

The show airs this fall. I’ll let you know when the date is announced.

Sue Foley, a blues guitarist and singer from Ottawa, built a solid career after moving to Austin, Texas, where she immersed herself in the electric blues tradition.

She paid tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan with a confident rendition of "The House Is Rockin'," not trying to compete with him but making the song her own with aplomb. She clearly belongs to this Texas blues lineage, with expressive guitar playing and a commanding stage presence.

Nicknamed the "Ice Queen"—a nod to her tribute to Albert Collins—she plays a Fender Telecaster with unwavering precision. Her voice is steady, her guitar playing unadorned, and the whole performance exudes a kind of understated, effective restraint.
