Dedicated to our brave son, Ibrahim, who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy β€” a rare and progressive genetic disorder.

Our mission is to raise awareness, share Ibrahim’s journey, and gather support for his ongoing medical treatment.

Apparently, dreams come with sprinkles. 🍦✨ Thank you Footsteps School for capturing this little glimpse into Ibrahim’s imagination. 🀍

What may look like a lot to the world is simply part of his everyday.

And through it all, he laughs. ❀️

Just Ibrahim, living his Thursday.

β€œI’m Ibrahim. I have DMD, but I’m still strong.” ❀️🎈

This World Duchenne Awareness Day, we stand with the message: Access changes lives.

Access to care, treatment, support, education and opportunities can change the course of life for children living with Duchenne.

Today, we raise awareness for Ibrahim and for every child living with DMD. ❀️

Proof that Ibbu has been given far too much access to my camera roll. πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ

His version of childhood = kinda chic πŸ˜ŽπŸ’™

This is Ibrahim’s normal. πŸ’™

Getting to school means a transfer from the car, settling into his wheelchair, and then heading through those gates.

It’s part of his routine, but it still takes strength β€” the kind you don’t always see. πŸ’™

Ibrahim really wanted to do everything this Independence Day. πŸ˜‚πŸ‡΅πŸ‡°πŸ’š

The snow cone, the fireworks, buying flags, getting his baaja πŸ“―, having the Pakistani flag painted on his face πŸ‡΅πŸ‡° and, of course, a stop at the photo booth with Mama. He wore green to school and then came home and changed into another green shirt because apparently one green outfit wasn’t enough. πŸ˜‚πŸ’š

He was so excited about every little part of the celebrations, and watching him enjoy it all made me so happy.

But that loud and very enthusiastic β€œPakistan Zindabad!” might just have been my favourite part of the whole day. πŸ₯ΉπŸ‡΅πŸ‡°

Happy Independence Day, Pakistan β€” love, your very excited little Ibrahim. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡°πŸ’šβœ¨

Before Ibrahim, I never understood genetics, chromosomes, or why Duchenne mostly affects boys.

Now I find myself learning about things I never imagined β€” just to better understand my child and the condition he lives with every single day.

Awareness starts with understanding. πŸ’™
