Happy Bandcamp Friday! A bunch of rare items are going up on the Truly Bandcamp page now and into the evening. This includes a strange surprise to even us. Apparently, Bang! Records in Espana’ will be releasing the extremely rare ‘Twilight Curtains’ on August 28th. Only 500 are being manufactured. They sent us a very very small amount of these. Ours are available now, and are signed. Our cost more, but no Orange tariffs or supporting a label that is stealing from us, so there’s that. Anyway, grab your before our team of international legal express
swarm in.

There are also two original copies from the 2000 (year) release on Sweet Nothing/Cargo-Headhunter U. K. release. These copies are as near to as %100 impossible to find as possible. Not just world wide, but even at our downtown studio where they were hiding under a bunch of old flyers and posters until a few weeks ago. 😉

One or two autographed dbl vinyl copies of “Kid Coma” and ‘Feeling You Up” from Bang! as well as some other odd artifacts are being uploaded also.

Looks like the four headed musical monster, as we were described by a good friend of Hunters when we played the Morocan Lounge in LA, will be firing up the Truly record making machine and entering the lab for the first time in a long time.

We’ll be going into Studio X and are really looking forward to working with Chris Rahm. The studio is formerly the legendary Kay Smith/Bad Animals (Heart)/Studio X, which since the 1973 was in downtown Seattle on Fourth Avenue in Belltown. It now exsists on Capitol Hill in a huge hundred-plus year old, crazy-beautiful old brick church with huge stained glass, wood floors that curve upward along the aisles. Musicians set up on and extended and elevated old wood stage in a circle and the sound goes out to the church pews. The control room looks down from the balconey above. How fu***ng cool, right?

The band is cooking after our spring “Then, Today & Tomorrow Tour” and now that we’re headed to the kitchen we’re finally getting a chance to peel the lid off the cauldron and let loose concotion of creativity and chemistry that’s been brewing underneath ever since this line-up came together back in February. All we can say is we are as curious and excited as anybody. We want to be surprised and we hope you do to. It’s a new era.

We’re going to be at this on and off for a little while, but please stay tuned for updates on that and some other really cool s**t we’re dying to tell you, but can’t quite yet, because “we must be bewwy’ bewwy’ quiet, cause we’re hunting wabbits”. Lots of love, Truly

Ps. the photos are not from “X”, yet… we’re saving that for this weekend, but they’re from back in Nov/’25 at United Western Recorders in West Hollywood, while hanging out with Tom Carusso who is the producer and “caretaker” for Les Paul’s musical catelog and musical inventions, including the first recording console ever made that Hiro and I are leaning over. The other studio shot is with Hunter’s pal Brian Kehew (The Who’s frequent Keyboardist, Air engineer on and on…) at his Round and Wound studios in Los Angeles.

After several months of hard core self promotion, we would like to give a shout out about some cool things happening in our sphere. Truly’s management team WEG will be releasing the first single from a new collab between Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, DJ Johnny Juice, and Brian Hardgroove. The band is called FREEDOM and this single, “I’m On Your Side” is a call to action and a call to strengthen the bond within the community that’s pushing back against racism, totalitarianism and the recent by the super-rich and powerful to consolidate that collective power and influence to deny rights and dismantle democracy. Plus, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels is not only a Hip-Hop legend and innovator, but a supercool-nerd who loves comics and sci-fi. Great to have him back in the scene, making music, speaking his mind and telling it like it is. We’re proud to be associated and inspired by the message and the intention… dig FREEDOM.
