🍽️ Maintenance Tip Tuesday: Garbage Disposal Edition

🚫 Keep these OUT of your garbage disposal:
🛢️ Grease & cooking oil — can build up and cause clogs
☕ Coffee grounds — can collect and create buildup
🍚 Rice & pasta — expand when they absorb water
🥔 Potato peels — can become starchy and sticky
🌽 Corn husks & vegetable peels — fibrous materials can wrap around the blades
🦴 Bones — too hard for the disposal
🥚 Eggshells — can contribute to buildup
🧈 Butter & fatty foods — can coat the inside of the pipes

💡 A few “DO” tips to add
✅ Run cold water before, during, and for a few seconds after using the disposal.
✅ Feed food scraps in small amounts rather than all at once.
✅ Let the disposal run for a few seconds after the food has cleared.
✅ If something doesn't belong in the disposal, trash it instead! 🗑️
