Revisiting the beautifully chill vibes of Rolling Ryot’s Rainforest Reverb 02 from Fusebox Fest 2026 🌳✨

The installation spanned all five levels of a downtown Austin parking garage, transforming the structure into a vertical ecosystem of sound using a spatialized 32-channel audio system created by seven composers from around the world.

As sound moves through the garage’s open architecture, each listener experiences a continually shifting composition shaped by motion, reverberation and the ambient noise of the city. The result is a singular unmatched form of sonic immersion.

Revisiting the scientific playground of the You Can’t Fire Your Mom exhibit from the 2026 Fusebox Festival. Created during Jiabao Li’s (Jiabao Li) pregnancy and in the months after giving birth, this solo exhibition traced motherhood as both intimate transformation and public infrastructure.

Our friends at Forklift Danceworks are hosting a National Convening on Community Based Practice on September 23–25, 2026. We’re looking forward to attending!

Before a performance reaches the stage, there are years of conversations, travel, studio visits, shared meals, late-night debates, and seeing far more performances than any reasonable person probably should. There are friendships that deepen over decades, ideas that slowly take shape, and countless moments when you stumble across an artist or a project and think, I wish people in Austin could experience this.

That work never really stops. It’s ongoing. It’s one of Ron’s favorite parts of the job, and he thought it might be fun to invite you along for the journey.

Since 2020, Sam Mayer (Sam Mayer) has documented his life on the streaming platform Twitch and at popup, IRL installations. The result is equal parts reality show, party, and live memoir. poolboy translates the chaos and performance of the online into an expansive IRL encounter.

Catch new iterations of Sam Mayer’s work at his Fishbowl residency at DORF each Saturday, from August 10–September. 👀
