"Play one more song" _ IHM
I must say after playing a two hour set, pouring my heart out, and with the energy still rising I was asked to play one more!

I am pretty quick to step off stage when the headliner is ready.
The people came for them and I know it's time for the dial to turn to 11, and for me to exit stage left.

Though when came on to stage it was nothing less than a class act of how we should treat each other. Most of the shows I play I'd be lucky if the artist before me shouts me out or preps their last song for me.

At every artist I played after has gave exactly the type of etiquette any artist would be humbled by. However, when IHM took the stage I didn't know what to expect.

Not only did he embrace me, acknowledge my set, but he hyped the crowd up!
I took my bow and gathered my belongings quickly, feeling the release of finishing a job well done I took a breath....but then, he said "Play one more song!"

I really have learned from his example, I have taken on those actions into my own world of shows, and I can say I am happy to finally finish the story arc of my
2 hour direct support show for IHM at TCP.

Thank you AUSTIN for receiving me well, to & for the opportunity to play the anniversary of my concourse debut, and to the best staff there is!

We are truly blessed in austin for the efforts in right action to share moments and create memories like these. Cheers!

Reading the crowd can happen a few different ways.

There’s one I trust the most.

It’s the moment when one connects to another.

Sometimes it’s just a nod or a wink...

In this case, I saw this man light up.

He didn’t shy away when I looked back to feel the room,
right as I was about to take things deeper and darker.

The moment I put my headphones down,
I knew.

Just a quick exchange—
a sign of respect, of peace, from one to another. 🖤

After the silence…
after the introduction…
there’s a moment where everything resets.

The room is full now.
The energy is different.

Before pushing forward,
I let it breathe.

Pads. Space.
A liminal moment where everyone finds each other again.

Then we go.
