For years, people have asked me:

“𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘯?”

And I always said, “Not yet. I need to get faster first. I want to be able to compete.”

But this year, I’m tired of waiting.

I’m tired of measuring my worth by my marathon times, chasing criteria, and constantly trying to make teams.

At the end of the day, I truly believe running is about joy, and that we reach our deepest potential when we come from a place of joy. Yet I’ve never gone into a marathon just for the sake of enjoying it. There’s always been a performance goal, an objective, an accomplishment to check off.

If there’s anything I’ve learned on this crazy journey of mine, it’s to fully embrace myself and appreciate the process.

Beyond being an elite athlete, I know I’m here for a greater purpose: to impact, to inspire, to uplift, to bridge worlds, to represent Jewish women everywhere, and to represent Israel internationally.

That’s why I’m so excited to be running the NYC Marathon this year as an ambassador for , the largest Jewish running group in the world! 🗽

I can’t wait to run through the streets of New York with joy and pride, in the city with the highest concentration of Jews in America.

At a time when so many Jews feel they have to hide their identity, and people are being attacked for being visibly Jewish, I want to encourage our young people to be proudly and visibly Jewish wherever they go.

I’ll be running dressed as an Orthodox Jewish woman: head covered, skirt, long sleeves, and, of course, Nice Jewish Runners across my chest. 💙

Celebrating Sukkot with NJR 🌿

One of the things that makes the “Jewish” part of our name shine is how we celebrate our holidays, traditions, and culture together.

Sukkot is all about coming together, welcoming people in, and celebrating as a community. There’s something pretty special about doing that with over 100 NJR runners in a sukkah.

This is what the Jewish part of Nice Jewish Runners means to us. 💙

Last night, we ran together, fulfilled the mitzvah of the lulav and etrog, and enjoyed dinner together in the sukkah.

Chag Sameach! 🍋🌿✡️

What an incredible day at the 5th Ave Mile! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The rain didn’t stop us, and 31 NJR runners came out and flew down Fifth Avenue!

Our women’s and men’s teams both finished 6th overall and 1st in Tier C in the NYRR club competition, increasing our 1st place lead in the standings!

And a huge shoutout to our two fastest runners, who both set new NJR club records in the mile! 🔥

Stephanie Moss ran an incredible 4:40, finishing as our top NJR woman, and placing 2nd overall in the Road Mile Championship. Dillon Arye ran an impressive 4:22 setting a new NJR men’s record and winning his heat.

We are so proud of everyone who showed up, raced hard, cheered each other on, and represented NJR.

Rain or shine, NJR shows up✡️

As we enter the new year, we feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by this community.
⠀
When Nice Jewish Runners began, none of us could have imagined what it would become. But what makes us proudest isn’t the number of people, cities, races, or events.
⠀
It’s the people. It has always been the people.
⠀
To everyone who showed up, brought a friend, volunteered, led a run, cheered someone on, wore the shirt, welcomed a new face, or helped another runner feel like they belonged: thank you.
⠀
Because of you, this past year was filled with extraordinary growth and achievement. We opened new chapters, including Chicago, San Diego, Austin, and two chapters in Australia following the Bondi attacks. We ran together across cities, countries, and continents. We honored Jewish traditions, celebrated our holidays and heritage, supported Jewish organizations and businesses, celebrated Zionism, spread Jewish pride, raced every distance, and created friendships that will last far longer than any finish-line clock.
⠀
And we’ve only just begun.
⠀
As we begin this new year, we hope NJR continues becoming more than a running club. We want it to be a place where Jewish people feel deeply connected to their identity, their values, and one another.
⠀
Our challenge this year is simple: show up for each other.
⠀
Bring someone new to a run. Introduce yourself to the person beside you. Invite someone to Shabbat. Cheer louder. Get involved. If you see someone standing alone, go say hello.
⠀
The future of this community is something we create together.
⠀
As you reflect on how you can help strengthen Jewish community in the coming year, please consider supporting NJR’s High Holiday Fundraiser with a one-time or recurring donation through the link in our bio. Every donation helps us continue building a community that creates lasting impact far beyond the miles we run.
⠀
On behalf of the entire Nice Jewish Runners leadership team, we wish you and your families a Shana Tova U’Metukah. May the year ahead be filled with health, happiness, peace, love, meaningful relationships, and plenty of miles together.
⠀
We are incredibly grateful for every one of you, and we cannot wait to see what we bu
