I know when the little ones gift me the home made bracelet that they are speaking their language to me… and it honestly brings tears to these old eyes because I know this is their love language to musicians- they learned it from Taylor but they’re spreading it to their world- and I am honored!

In my new series on my patreon page I start a conversation about a song, get your comments and questions and revisit a few days later. No. 1 is GLIMMER from our latest album - I’m partnering with El Paso Community Foundation to raise money and support during 🌈 - here’s my full statement:

There’s a song on our new record called Glimmer. This is what Glimmer means in defined terms- Micro-moments of joy or comfort that shift your nervous system into a relaxed, grounded state. The reason I titled it Glimmer is because it’s a song about love- about finding love that alters your very being. Love that renews and eclipses sadness or worry or darkness. I wanted to take a moment in all of these troubles we are besieged with to invite Love into our collective hearts. Love between two people, period- no explanation of who or why you love, just that you love. This is a time we celebrate those who have to fight just to love and I am with them in this fight. Love is joy and we need more of that. Happy Pride.

Quick shout out to - when you listen to Glimmer on the new record, there’s her gorgeous voice bring the vibe. We got to work with so many friends, old and new- grateful to have her talent and friendship.

Yo! I’m beyond grateful for all the love and support leading up to our release tomorrow- we’ve been burning the candle at all three ends with press/rehearsals/etc - I took a break from it all to recharge my batteries at El Pasoans Fighting Hunger this morning. It definitely puts things in perspective and feels so good to interact with my community- it’s so easy to consume music these days without spending money, and I’m fine with that- but if you stream our record and it hits you in the right places maybe be you could send a couple bucks towards - they are struggling like so many not for profits are and they do incredible work- thanks for reading this. Any day I spend with is always a joy- if we get to play music… even better. I’m doing a rare full acoustic solo set this year and I really hope to see you all there- what a killer lineup to boot (see what I did there?)
