We have an update on Mado...

When rescuers first met her, their hearts broke. This beautiful dog had spent years living chained up, deprived of proper care and the freedom to simply be a dog. While no one knows exactly how long she endured those conditions, her medical state suggests it was likely most of her life.

She was fighting a severe infection that required intensive medical care, daily monitoring, and a surgical drain to help clear the infection from her body. Her veterinary team worked tirelessly to stabilize her, closely tracking her bloodwork and adjusting her treatment every step of the way.

Today, her stitches are out, the infection is under control, and she’s back to looking a little more like herself every single day. While she’s still taking antibiotics and waiting for her fur to grow back, her recovery is moving in the right direction. None of this happened by chance.

Every donation, every share, every kind message, and every person who believed in Mado helped make this progress possible. Because of this community, she was given the chance to heal.
