Tuberous breasts are a congenital condition that develops during puberty when the breast tissue does not fully expand. This can result in a constricted breast shape, a narrow breast base, enlarged ar**las, asymmetry, or a lack of fullness in the lower portion of the breast.
Because every patient presents differently, treatment is never one size fits all.
Correction often involves releasing the constricted tissue, reshaping the breast, lowering the breast fold when needed, reducing the size of the ar**la if appropriate, and, in many cases, using an implant to restore balance, proportion, and a more natural contour.
