5 weeks of personal development. Bob has a super fight coming up and we know the guy he is facing is a leg locker, so we are preparing him for the prevention, early and late escape

Caught in a leg entanglement? Before you start trying to remember 15 different escapes, understand what your opponent actually needs to make the position work.

In this situation, simply dropping to your knees changes the position and takes away the control they were looking for.

That’s the difference between memorizing moves and understanding Jiu Jitsu.

Understand the problem. Take away what they need. Move on.

Simple. Methodical. Effective.

I can tell my kids to work hard.

I can tell them to exercise.

I can tell them to keep learning.

I can tell them not to quit when something gets difficult.

But eventually they notice whether Dad does those things too.

I’m trying to make sure the example matches the advice.

If you’ve always wanted to try Jiu Jitsu, I don’t know if we’ll ever create a better time to start.

This fall we’re doing something different.

We’re taking our entire adult Jiu Jitsu program back to the foundation and rebuilding the game from the ground up.

Not because beginners need “beginner moves.”

Because the fundamentals are what make Jiu Jitsu work.

You’ll learn where you are, what matters from that position, what danger you’re in, how to survive, how to escape, how to improve your position, how to control someone and eventually how to submit them.

Survive. Escape. Transition. Control. Submit.

If you’ve never trained before, this is exactly where I would want you to start.

And if you’ve been training for a while but feel like you’ve collected a bunch of techniques without ever having someone connect the entire game for you, I want you here too.

We’re spending 10 weeks building the foundation.

September 8 through November 20.

Up to 30 classes. $349.

Limited enrollment.

Comment FOUNDATIONS and I’ll send you the details.
