Supergirl: Survive takes place in its own continuity - one in which Supergirl and Kal-El escape Krypton together, emerging into a galaxy of wild, unexpected threats. For that reason, Supergirl won’t be a full-time Blue Lantern in DC’s mainstream comics.

However, this new continuity allows the creative team to reimagine classic threats, with future issues teasing Brainiac, and issue #3 seemingly teasing the debut of this reality’s Mister Mxyzptlk - an omnipotent force of mischief.
