When will it end? This is the question on so many peoples’ minds today. Earlier today in Maine, ICE agents killed a young Columbian man, the second person ICE has killed in under a week.
Just 6 days ago, ICE agents shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas. Lorenzo was a dad driving a work van with his crew when he was murdered by ICE agents who are reckless and out of control.
The local community in Texas and organizations across the country including SURJ demand justice for Lorenzo and accountability for all of the innocent people killed by ICE agents.
If you’re wondering what you can do to show up from wherever you are, join the mass call happening this Wednesday to organize a nationwide response to honor Lorenzo’s life, support his family, and demand immediate accountability.

Rest in Peace; Rest in Power Sister/Comrade Njoki
"The dead are not gone forever.
They are in the paling shadows,
And in the darkening shadows.
The dead are not beneath the ground,
They are in the rustling tree,
In the murmuring wood,
In the flowing water,
In the still water,
In the lonely place, in the crowd:
The dead are not dead."..Birago Diop – Breaths
