On Tuesday, Dr. Seshamani, Secretary of Health for Maryland, visited Moveable Feast to connect with our staff and volunteers!

Over the past couple of weeks, the Maryland Department of Health has joined us on many occasions to volunteer as a group in the kitchen, helping package and bag meals for our clients. ❤️

Over the last couple of weeks, Maryland Department of Health volunteers have:

🍽️ Packaged: 16,488 meals
🛍️ Bagged: 26,152 meals

We’re grateful for our partnership with the Maryland Department of Health for its Medically Tailored Meals Program, and for the time they’ve spent working alongside our staff to help ensure nutritious meals reach our clients. ❤️

This partnership will allow us to serve 600,000 meals and 3,000 clients in 2026. ✅

🎉 On Saturday, September 19th come enjoy the last weekend of summer with your Ride for the Feast friends! This casual, no-drop, supported group ride from Baltimore to Annapolis and back has multiple starting points and offers rides from 30 to72 miles (depending on your chosen start and return points) along the Baltimore-Annapolis Trail (and other roads) and includes a group lunch (you’ll need to buy your own lunch). 💚

Snacks, drinks and some giveaway items will be available at the Lindale Middle School start and at the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail Ranger Station pit stop in the morning.✅

The bagging of meals, produce, and supplements will take place at our new Moveable Feast Distribution Center. ❤️

Occurring once per day, with 8-10 volunteer spots, these Bagging & Distribution shifts will be critical to ensure that staff and volunteer drivers have all the meals, produce, and supplements needed for client meal deliveries to feed our community.
