Humble Beginnings Recovery

Congratulations to alumni Stanley on one whole year sober. At 66 years old Stan is proof that it's never too late to give recovery a try. His journey has been about getting physically healthy again and building friendships with other men in recovery. He has now become a staple at The Nicholas House and is living life one day at a time 💪🏼.

Congratulations to our lead Southern Avenue counselor Heather B on 5 whole years clean today 🎁🎂😎. We appreciate the hard work and dedication she puts into helping the men build a new life beyond addiction. Keep on trucking Heather 🚚 🛻.

A bunch of us were able to attend the Adam's Light Run for Recovery event yesterday. The rain didn't stop them for putting on a great event to raise funds for people in early recovery. We could be more thankful for the necessities they provide for the guys in our program.

Pickleball has taken over Humble Beginnings 🤣. We are very fortunate to have a court right up the street and some of the guys have been taking full advantage of it 🏓🏓.

Big shout out to Deangelo on 9 months sober. Working hard to break patterns of the past and staying vigilant in his daily recovery. Keep up the good work champ.

Another one makes it to the deli.Congratulations to alumni Scott on one whole year in recovery. He has struggled and finally got serious this past year about his life. Taking it slow and opening up to suggestions of people that walked the road before him. It has not been easy but anything worthwhile rarely is. Keep on trucking brother 🛻🛻💪🏼.

Thanks to the case management crew from Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. for coming down and touring our new addition to the facility. These ladies and gentlemen are on the frontlines and helping make recovery possible everyday.

Joey has been working hard to save up for his first car in many years. He finally made it happen. Perseverance and patience always pay off. Watch out on the highways because Joey is back on the road 🤣.

Congratulations to Tyrone on 6 months sober. He has been working hard to build an internal sense of recovery while also working full time to prepare for the future. Keep up the good work young man.
