Join me on August 14th, 6pm at SNF Parkway Theatre / Maryland Film Fest for the kickoff of my artist residency. It will be a beautiful night of original storytelling, cinematic filmmaking and theater.

I’ll be previewing the first 6 mins of a narrative short film I wrote and directed called “The Final Bell!” 1st Love Productions will be debuting a documentary they shot on the making of The Final Bell and we will cap the evening off with our original play “Uncle Bey’s Will” and an reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost” Act 2, Scene 1.

My Dad departed this life on July 29th. It’s been a long and painful journey seeing my Dad suffer over this past decade. He survived congestive heart failure, a heart transplant, kidney transplant, pneumonia, shingles, meningitis and encephalitis. He was a true Ironman, loving Father, great leader, an amazing man of service and a 27 year Army vet retiring as a Full Colonel. My Dad now joins my son Zeke in Heaven. Two tough losses back to back July’s; the healing journey is the true test.

Love you all. Please be kind to each other, be of service to one another, love unconditionally, forgive even when it’s hard to reach that space, show up for yourself and others, keep your word, put your cellphones away so your truly experiencing life and please soak in each moment. All we have is the moments as the future is not certain…

What does freedom sound like?

On July 17, I released my new EP, State of Being, a collection of songs exploring liberation, identity, growth, and the choices that shape who we become. Embrace authenticity and live without limits.

This marks my first instrumental-focused project, where the production takes center stage and the vocals become another instrument within the music. I produced or co-produced every track on the EP except one, collaborating with three incredible producers to create a sound that is immersive, cinematic, and intentional.

This Saturday, acting & design students from Baltimore School for the Arts will present original Historical Scenes at Maryland Center for History & Culture on Saturday, May 2nd (11AM & 2PM).

As a Historical Scenes teacher, playwright, and director, it’s been an honor helping these young artists bring these stories to life. These aren’t just performances, they’re vital perspectives that speak to the full story of America.

As we celebrate America 250, it’s critical that all voices are heard. These original works remind us that history isn’t one narrative, it’s many.

Come out and experience the next generation speaking truth with purpose.

Last year I was a finalist for the Baltimore Screenwriters Awards SNF Parkway Theatre / Maryland Film Fest and this year I’ll be returning to the theater as an Artist in Residence!
