You know a pallet passed through dock 20 this morning. But...where is it now?

RFID readers like these work great as checkpoints. Tagged items move through the read zone, and the system confirms they went from Point A to Point B without anyone needing to pick up a scanner.

In-between those checkpoints, you'll need a different kind of tool to keep track of those assets.

There's UWB, which pinpoints location within centimeters, in real time, in a specific space. And BLE handles proximity-tracking, often using devices you already have on the floor.

Most facilities employ a mix of asset tracking solutions. Our job is figuring out which combination would be best for how your operation really runs.

Choose Your Fighter! 🕹️

Picking the right asset tracking solution for your operation depends on your building, your workflows, and what you actually need to track.

RFID confirms items passed a checkpoint. It's low cost per tag, with passive tags that run for years on no batteries at all. A proven fit for receiving, shipping verification, and inventory counts.

UWB gives you real-time positioning. Can be a bigger infrastructure investment, but it's the pick for high-value equipment and work-in-process tracking.

BLE handles proximity and room-level location at a low entry cost by using smartphones or rugged devices you already own.

Most operations end up running more than one. Swipe through the matchups and reach out if you want help picking your line up.

We handle the print run so your team can handle the floor. Just place your order - we print to your standard, verify the output, and deliver.

Here's a quick cheat sheet for anyone comparing tracking technologies:

RFID portals answer "Did it pass through?" They're ideal for dock doors, shipping verification, and receiving.

Ultra Wideband answers "Where exactly is it right now?" It gives you pinpoint accurate positioning for carts, tools, and WIP.

BLE answers "What's nearby?" It offers room-level tracking at a lower cost and lower power consumption.

Every facility has an unofficial job that's going mostly unacknowledged: Device Whisperer.

Duties of the Device Whisperer include swapping batteries before first shift and keeping the drawer of good spares restocked.

They're usually the only one who remembers which three units have the firmware that actually works with the WMS, and they're the ones explaining to new hires why that one scanner only works if you hold it sideways.

Every operation has someone filling this role, but few have named it and staffed it. Our Managed Services team does it for you, leaving your team free to focus on what matters.

It's the end of an era!

After years of service calls and thousands of miles, the original RMS Omega service van is finally moving on to it's next stage of life.

We're glad to give it one final assignment by donating it to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, supporting their mission to help our nation's veterans, first responders, and their families.

Since 9/11, Tunnel to Towers has provided mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families, built specially adapted smart homes for injured veterans and first responders, and worked to combat veteran homelessness.

There are many ways to support this great organization beyond vehicle donations, including giving, volunteering, fundraising, and participating in Tunnel to Towers events. Learn more or make a donation at https://hubs.ly/Q04wzmMh0
