BCFD Engine 57

Some pictures from the 57 box lat night.

Currently E57 is down the street from our station on a 3rd alarm fire on Curtis Ave. Heavy fire and smoke. Please avoid the area.

Today at 1350hrs while E57 was on a medic run, Box 57-12 dropped for a commercial building fire. 3220 Sun Street. Engine 35 arrived and found a 2 story warehouse 150x100 with smoke showing from roof. Units on scene found fire on the 1st and 2nd floor in a compactor. Command called for the working fire at 1430hrs for more members due to the high heat today. Engine 57 was placed on the WF and assisted units in placing fire under control. Units were on scene for about 3hrs.

Two people were injured in an explosion Tuesday at the Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plant. FULL STORY⬇️

Tonight at approximately 2020 hours, E57, along with Ambo 805, responded to a motor vehicle collision on Hawkins Point Road near the Coast Guard Yard. A subject fleeing from BCPD lost control of the vehicle, striking two telephone poles and a fence. Live wires were blocking the roadway when Engine 57 arrived on scene.

Crews were able to gain access to the patient, who was already being treated by Coast Guard EMTs. After the patient was loaded into Ambo 805 and FF/PM Runge upgraded the unit, they transported the patient to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. The patient sustained multiple injuries and is expected to recover.

On 5/28/26 Engine 57 gave some neighborhood kids a tour of the Firehouse and Engine 57.

On May 25,2026 at 2130 Engine Company 57 was called to a single vehicle accident. We found 1 vehicle that was speeding down Church Street and hit a telephone pole sheeting it off and was still able to travel around 200’ and hit a retaining wall and the fence that was in this persons yard. BCPD had Church Street shut down for @11 hours to replace the pole that was damaged. No one was injured in this accident.
