It is free to submit to our general categories. Contest submission fee is $20.

For the John Steinbeck Award for Fiction and Edwin Markham Prize for Poetry, winning works will receive $1,000. For the Gabrielle Rico Challenge for Nonfiction, winning works will receive $1,333.

You have 25 days to get your submissions in before the window closes!

Art submissions will close on November 1st.
