Friday night was spent in very good company at Jodi Picoult’s Chapters Tour for her new novel, Hollow Bones.

And honestly, this was so much more fun than your typical author talk. Jodi took us through the chapters of her own writing life—the books, the research, the stories behind the stories, and some wonderfully candid glimpses at what it has looked like to build a career spanning more than three decades and dozens of novels.

There was laughter, there were stories, there was Hollow Bones…and there was that Taylor Swift Eras Tour-inspired dress. (Zoom in. It deserves its own post.) 😍

One of the things I love most about hearing authors speak is that you inevitably leave wanting to go back and read—or reread—their work. Of course, when the author has a backlist like Jodi’s, that presents a rather substantial problem for the TBR.

Such a fun night celebrating books, readers, and a brand-new novel. 💙
