For 35 years, we've driven positive change for youth across continents to reach their full potential.

We firmly believe that when young people are educated, employed, and active participants in society, they hold the key to solving the most challenging problems our world faces. For over 25 years, we have been at the forefront, leading and sustaining collective efforts to tap into the immense talent and potential of the global youth population, which now stands at a staggering 1.2 billion. Our core focus revolves around nurturing partnerships, spearheading initiatives, and developing curricula that empower young men and women to thrive as responsible citizens, valuable employees, innovative entrepreneurs, and catalysts for positive change. At IYF, our vision is to create a world where every single young person feels inspired and equipped to manifest the future they aspire to. Through our work, we connect young individuals with incredible opportunities that have the power to transform their lives for the better.

It takes a village—and a whole lot of system alignment.

A single job can change someone's life, but a truly connected community can change an entire generation. That’s why we bring schools, employers, mentors, and local leaders together to build bulletproof pathways from education to career.

At IYF, we’re working on the ground to align training with real market demands, making sure no young person is left navigating the future alone.

Rigid rules and rushed timelines rarely help anyone rebuild after a crisis.

Back in 2010, our work in Ciudad Juárez taught us a defining truth: real progress starts by putting people back in control of their own futures.

Thanks to our enduring partnership with the TK Foundation, that initial effort has evolved into a powerful, scalable model supporting youth and migrants from Mexico to the U.S. border. 🌍✨

Curious how we're scaling systems change in 2026? Head to the link in our bio to read the full story.

Did you know 41% of US teens have already changed the jobs they want to pursue because of AI?

IYF intern Lorenzo dives into the latest 4-H survey of over 1,000 teens to break down what young people actually think about AI and the workforce. The biggest catch? Even though youth know AI is transforming the future, only 48% feel prepared to use it in their careers.

At IYF, we’re stepping up to close that gap. By offering programs that teach real, practical AI skills, we’re making sure young people have the hands-on experience they need to navigate the future of work with confidence.

Watch Lorenzo’s full take, and give us a follow for more conversations about youth opportunity and the future of work.

Not "leaders of tomorrow"—leaders of right now. 🔥

For too long, programs have been designed *for* young people instead of *with* them. But the magic happens when we step back, hand over the mic, and let younger generations lead the way for themselves.

That's why at IYF, we center youth voices by giving young people direct opportunities to help design, shape, and lead the programs themselves. Because nobody knows the roadmap better than the ones walking it.

What does it take to prepare the next generation of workforce leaders? Start with 354 passionate teachers and a whole lot of dedication.

A few weeks ago in Arequipa, we celebrated the Teacher Certification and Results Presentation Ceremony for the Jóvenes Innovadores and Equip Youth Peru programs. As we hit the midpoint of implementation, we couldn't be prouder of what we've built together.

Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished so far:
✅ 13+ technical institutes from across Arequipa's provinces onboard
✅ 354 amazing teachers trained in our methodologies (Logistics, IT, and Passport to Success!)
✅ 6,000+ students already on their learning journeys

We also want to give a massive shoutout to our dedicated team for making this happen, plus celebrate our brand-new trainers certified through our latest Training of Teachers sessions! 👏

We’re so excited to keep moving forward and opening doors for the next generation. Drop a 🚀 in the comments to cheer on our educators!

What does transitioning from school to work *actually* feel like right now?

In The Broken Marketplace—a national report commissioned by the Schultz Family Foundation and conducted by HarrisX—research shows that millions of young adults feel stalled at the starting line due to outdated guidance and fractured pathways.

To bring a Gen Z perspective to these insights, IYF intern Lorenzo broke down the report’s most critical findings and what they mean for young jobseekers today.

At IYF, we believe young people shouldn't just receive advice—they need to be active partners in creating solutions.

Skills stick when you actually get to use them. 💡

Like all of us, young people grow by putting ideas into practice—tackling real challenges, collaborating with peers, and gaining insight from experience.

Hands-on opportunities bring learning to life. They build confidence, spark new interests, strengthen workplace skills, and reveal just how far talent can go.

At IYF, we create space to learn by doing, enabling young people to turn skills into experience—and experience into opportunity.
