Our summer program, The Maya Baraka Writers Institute concluded with a night full of powerful performances in front of a full house. Thank you to all of the young writers who laid it all on the stage, thank you to our teaching artists for pouring so much wisdom into them every day & thank you to the Baltimore City Poetry Team for guest performing & thank you to everyone supporting our mission🧡
The Maya Baraka Writers Institute is a summer writing initiative that hires students to work as writers and performing artists for 5 weeks. Over the course of the five weeks. To help us continue initiatives like these, please consider donating tomorrow to our fundraiser!
