⚠️ PHISHING ALERT: Fake Microsoft Invoice Emails Circulating! ⚠️
Scammers are sending sophisticated phishing emails pretending to be from Microsoft, claiming your credit card was declined for an invoice payment (e.g., "Insufficient funds" – invoice like G132145958, amount ~$586 USD, due Jan 2, 2026).
They urge you to "Verify payment information" via a link – DO NOT CLICK! This steals your card details or credentials.
Red flags:
Urgent pressure to update payment
Spoofed sender (looks like [email protected] but check headers)
Unexpected invoice for services you didn't order
Always log in directly at account.microsoft.com to check billing. Report to [email protected].
