Soccer Without Borders - Baltimore

The Northeast High School Boys team wraps up their fall season, and Coach Xavier couldn't be prouder: “It was an honor to watch this amazing group grow together on and off the pitch.” ⚽💙

This team has shown dedication, resilience, and true teamwork every step of the way. The bonds they've built and the progress they've made are what makes this season so special. Here's to celebrating their hard work and spirit on and off the field!

As the season wraps up for the Patterson High School Boys team, we're celebrating not just the games won but the bonds built.

Coach Fabrizio shared a powerful moment: “I’m proud of how we’ve come together as a team and built trust with each other. A special moment this season was when a player who joined us mid-season scored his first goal in the last minute of the final match. The whole team celebrated and cheered for him, showing how close we’ve all become.” 💙⚽

This season was about more than soccer — it was about growing together, building each other up, and celebrating every player’s journey.

Here's to Patterson HS Boys for an incredible season!

Last week, the SWB Baltimore community came together for our annual Small Goals, Big Change tournament, filled with fun, laughter, and great vibes! Thanks to all our incredible teams and supporters, we raised over $21,000 to support SWB Baltimore programs! 🎉

Huge congratulations to Charm City FC, our tournament champions! 🏆 They played with skill, heart, and spirit! 💪⚽

A special shoutout to the local businesses and organizations who made this day even more special with their generous support, whether in funds or through prizes for our teams! We couldn’t do it without you, and your contributions directly empower Baltimore youth through soccer, education, and mentorship.

Thank you to everyone who played, cheered, volunteered, and supported! Here’s to making big changes, one goal at a time. 💪

🌟 Weekend Recap! 🌟

This past weekend was filled with joy, connections, and memories! Alumni, HS, and MS girls had an incredible opportunity to attend the Washington Spirit game on Sunday. They spent the afternoon bonding, cheering, and building new friendships. Some of them even got to go pitchside to meet the players! ⚽💙

Thank you, Washington Spirit, for providing the tickets and making this day so special! 🙏

Elsewhere, the Northeast boys played against Patterson boys, with Patterson coming out on top, 3-0. Our HSG team also had a match this weekend but didn’t get the result they wanted. 💪

Big thanks to all our coaches and volunteers who supported throughout the weekend. We couldn't do it without you! 🙌

💫 Happy International Day of the Girl! 💫

This day recognizes the unique challenges girls face around the world and celebrates their empowerment. Here at Soccer Without Borders, we’re proud of our girls' program participants for their strength, resilience, and joy! ☀️

On Monday, middle school girls from our Vanguard and John Ruhrah programs came together at the SWB office to share experiences as girls in sport, talk about what makes them feel strong, and enjoy some teqball and video games! ⚽🎮

Today, we celebrate you all. 💙

SWB is back at John Ruhrah!!!

Our new Middle School program at John Ruhrah is off to an incredible start! The students have already played two games in our in-house Middle School League, showcasing great energy and teamwork. In addition to soccer practice, these young athletes are receiving after-school academic support, empowering them both on and off the field. 🏃‍♀️📚⚽

We’re thrilled to see these students growing as athletes and learners. Welcome back to the SWB family, John Ruhrah! 🙌

Fridays = MS Gamedays 🎉

So excited to see everyone on the field!!

🌟 Weekend Recap! 🌟

The Middle School League officially kicked off this Friday at Patterson Park, and for the first time, students from our new program at John Rurah Middle School took part in the league! 🎉 They had two teams and we loved welcoming them to the SWB family! 🙌

Sunday's highlight was an impressive 6-1 win for the High School Girls, with excellent performances all around, including a thrilling penalty save! 💪⚽
Our High School Boys and Patterson Boys also played strong games over the weekend.

We can’t wait to keep the momentum going for the rest of the season! 🔥

🌟 Weekend Highlights! 🌟

This Saturday, we hosted an Afghan Community Picnic in Northeast Baltimore, inviting Afghan families to join us for an incredible day filled with traditional food, music, and soccer!
Moms and dads connected in their own circles while the kids had a blast playing. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about their needs and introduce them to SWB’s mission. We're so excited to welcome more Afghan youth to our soccer teams! 💫

In soccer, our High School Boys kicked off their season with a 10-1 win for North East Boys and a close 2-3 loss for Patterson Boys while the High School Girls tied 4-4. 💪

Huge thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible! We look forward to many more exciting moments this fall! 🍂
