Drinking Wild Bay Kombucha - that’s what I’m doing now! 😎 I’m super lucky and proud to live in Baltimore City, the home of Wild Bay Kombucha. My partner bought me a variety box 📦 that I picked up this morning, and my friends threw in this awesome shirt! I will wear it with pride. I don’t drink alcohol since I had a stroke in 2022- kombucha is my bubbly drink of choice. Imho, Wild Bay is the best and tastiest store bought kombucha, no contest. Big Shout Out to Wild Bay Kombucha !

Follow up cat post: one week after Shuggie got fixed, we’ve decided he definitely needs to be an indoor/outdoor cat 🐱 this dude is too crazy to be cooped up.

Crazy couple weeks since this dude adopted us. My lady said there was a mysterious little boy orange cat coming around at night. Eventually I met him and fell for him. A neighbor helped us get him off the street. Then I found place to neuter the poor guy (he was being totally crazy- at one point running and grabbing my thigh like a proper hunter). Still, the look on my face is one of guilt for having to send this dude into the vet for the “procedure”. He’s still crazy, but he’s also really sweet. Lady suggested “Shuggie” because he’s like sugar, and also a tribute to one of my favorite artists of all time! 🐱🎸

It’s taken FOREVER but I finally grew my first tomato this season. Summer is finally here (in mid August).

Teaching songwriting/ production camp all this week at The Music Workshop -and totally loving it. I am fortunate that I really enjoy teaching. It’s not a thing I’m “falling back on” because I haven’t hit the BIG TIME! Really, I find teaching to be part of the process of self discovery that the journey of music is taking me on. Also, it’s really cool and interesting to meet kids where they are at- it’s inspiring. There are many awesome kind hearted cool youngsters out there! Also it’s fun! This week I get to play drums in 5/4 with 13 year olds- and the odd time signature was THE KIDS suggestion! 🤘😎🙏

Acoustic day in the studio utilizing these great MIJ guitars: a “lawsuit” era Ventura Gibson jumbo copy (I got this for $50 with a hardshell case outside a chicken wing joint in a strip mall) and an Alvarez K Yairi ! I love these instruments. Big thanks to Rich Isaac for a fun day recording.
