CKD stands for Chronic Kidney Disease—a condition in which the kidneys are damaged or lose function over time.

Learning about kidney disease, knowing your risk factors, and talking with your healthcare provider can help you better understand your kidney health. 💚

🍎On World Teachers’ Day, we’re celebrating a special kind of teacher in the dialysis community—our nurses! 💙

Dialysis nurses do so much more than provide care. Every day, they help patients and families understand treatments, medications, access care, lab results, symptoms to watch for, and how to navigate life with kidney disease.

They answer questions, explain things one more time when needed, and help patients gain the knowledge and confidence to participate in their own care.

Today, we celebrate the nurses who care, teach, encourage, and empower. 🩺📚
